RedTail Solutions Announces Super VAR Channel Program
Binary Stream Software Latest of Six Primary Development Partners to Deliver Integrations to Specific Accounting Platforms
WESTBOROUGH, Mass., May 24, 2005 — RedTail Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of an integrated outsourced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) service for small to mid-size suppliers, today introduced its innovative “SuperVAR” channel program.
This groundbreaking program is the latest enhancement to its RedTail Channel Partner Program, whose members include application software sales and support organizations with a successful track record throughout a given geographic region or within a specific vertical industry. Each VAR focuses on one of six major mid-range accounting platforms that RedTail supports.
The SuperVAR program is comprised of select VARs from this group that serve as primary development partners to deliver a standard EDI integration module for their assigned accounting/business software platform. Because of their expertise in the accounting platform and the integration module, they also provide Level 3 customer support for the integration module. RedTail will name additional SuperVARs as it adds more accounting/business software platforms to its integrated EDI service.
EDI remains the de-facto standard for electronic trading among businesses today. In order to efficiently and cost-effectively conduct business with large global trading partners, small to mid-size suppliers should be able to initiate and receive EDI transactions automatically. Those transactions should integrate – without manual intervention -- directly with their accounting/business applications.
RedTail’s service-based solution (comprised of EDI mapping, translation, communication, testing and trading partner management) enables suppliers to meet the requirements for electronic trading imposed by large enterprises in the retail, automotive and distribution segments without having to make their own investment in infrastructure or specialized expertise.
