RedTail Solutions Announces Three New Modules For Its Managed EDI Service for Microsoft Dynamics GP
Ability to Conduct EDI With Suppliers, Enhanced ASN & Label Generation Remote Warehouse/3PL Integration
WESTBOROUGH, Mass., – February 23, 2009 – RedTail Solutions, Inc., which delivers managed services for electronic data interchange (EDI) and global data synchronization (GDS), to mid-market suppliers, today announced three new modules for its managed EDI service for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
RedTail's new modules will enable Microsoft Dynamics GP users to introduce further capabilities and efficiencies into their EDI operations. New capabilities include the following:
- Support for conducting EDI with suppliers: RedTail is introducing the ability to automatically generate an outbound EDI purchase order (850) transaction from the POP module in Microsoft Dynamics GP. Purchase orders entered into Microsoft Dynamics GP will be translated via RedTail into the outbound 850 transaction and transmitted to EDI enabled suppliers. Invoices (810) received from suppliers can be reconciled against EDI purchase orders.
- Enhanced ASN generation: Users will now be able to generate outbound advanced ship notice (856) transactions based on completed shipment or open order information from the SOP module in Microsoft Dynamics GP. Eliminating the need to re-key order information improves operational efficiency and reduces errors, particularly in high-volume distribution environments.
- Integrated ability to export sales order picking tickets for remote warehouse management systems and third-party logistics providers: Users will be able to automatically generate an outbound warehouse shipping order (940) transaction from the SOP module in Microsoft Dynamics GP, enhancing process control and accuracy.
According to Bob Gleason, RedTail's president and CEO, "Our managed EDI service is the right answer for Microsoft Dynamics GP users who want an integrated EDI solution with low cost of ownership. These enhancements reflect our strategic commitment to delivering the benefits of a managed EDI service to those users."
RedTail's managed services solution optimizes the order-to-cash cycle for mid-market manufacturers and distributors selling to large trading partners like Wal-Mart and The Home Depot. Key to RedTail's success is the solution's seamless integration with today's most popular mid-market business accounting solutions from Microsoft, Sage Software and AccountMate.
"RedTail has more than a hundred leading VAR partners that refer RedTail's solution to their customers. In these difficult economic times, RedTail's low up-front fees means its partners are able to lower overall solution costs, delivering other mission critical services in place of costly EDI software licensing fees. RedTail's managed EDI service is easy for customers to get up and running in a matter of weeks. And its pay-per-transaction pricing model lets customers pay only for what they use, allowing them to scale up the service as their business grows.
