Supported Standards

RedTail Solutions supports all of the major EDI standards that enable companies to communicate with each other, regardless of their internal systems. These standards must be adhered to in order to preserve the foundation on which data is exchanged. Brief overviews of these standards are listed below:

Data Transformation and Translation

ANSI – The American National Standards Institute is a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.

ASC X12- Develops, maintains, interprets, publishes and promotes the proper use of American National and UN/EDIFACT International Electronic Data Interchange Standards.

EDIFACT - Electronic Data Interchange For Administration Commerce and Transport

XML - Extensible Markup Language

UCC 128-LABELS – Standard labeling format with correspondence to Advanced Ship Notice (856) – RedTail Transaction Manager provides the ability to create the UCC-128 labels directly to your dedicated printer, or to produce in PDF format that can be sent to remote printers.

EAN/UCC- Standards for data synchronization established by the Global Data Synchronization Network


Communication Protocols

AS2 - Applicability Statement describing how current Internet standards can be used to achieve this functionality for Process-to-Process (real-time) EDI based on MIME and HTTP.
